Terms &Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Tenderbite website and purchases from Tenderbite.

“Tenderbite,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Tenderbite, located in Richmond, British Columbia.

1. Website Use and Acceptance

By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked on our website. You must provide current, complete, and accurate information when ordering. You may not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, or use it for an unlawful purpose.

2. Products and Information

Tenderbite sells prepared frozen chicken products. Product availability, flavours, ingredients, packaging, weight, photographs, and descriptions may change. We try to keep website information accurate, but minor differences may occur. If website information conflicts with the label on the product you receive, follow the product label and contact us before consuming the product if you have questions.

Nutrition values and serving information are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise. Natural ingredients and production batches may cause reasonable variation. Website content is general information and is not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

3. Allergies and Dietary Requirements

Ingredients and allergens may vary by flavour. Products may contain priority allergens or gluten sources, including mustard, soy, wheat, sesame, milk, eggs, sulphites, or others where identified on the product label. Products are prepared in a shared commercial kitchen that may handle additional allergens. Cross-contact may therefore be possible.

Important: Always review the ingredient list and any “Contains” or “May contain” statement on the individual package before eating. If you have a severe allergy, intolerance, celiac disease, or another medical dietary requirement, contact us before ordering and do not rely only on general website descriptions. Tenderbite cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment unless expressly confirmed in writing for a specific product.

4. Orders, Pricing and Payment

All prices are in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes, delivery charges, discounts, and the final order total are shown at checkout. We may correct obvious pricing or description errors and may refuse or cancel an affected order, in which case any amount charged for the cancelled item will be refunded.

Orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We may limit quantities or decline an order for legitimate business, safety, fraud-prevention, or delivery reasons. Payment options currently displayed may include Apple Pay and PayPal, along with any other method shown at checkout. Payment services are provided by third parties and may be subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

5. Frozen-Food Handling

Products are sold frozen and must be retrieved promptly after delivery or pickup and placed in a freezer as soon as possible. Keep frozen until ready to thaw. After thawing, keep refrigerated and consume as soon as possible, within 1–2 days. Do not consume a product if the package is damaged, leaking, unusually swollen, or if the product has an unusual odour, colour, or appearance.

Customers are responsible for following the storage, thawing, preparation, package, and use-by instructions supplied with the product. Tenderbite is not responsible for deterioration or loss caused by delayed retrieval, improper storage, mishandling, refreezing after thawing, failure to follow instructions, or consumption after the recommended period, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

6. Delivery, Pickup, Changes and Refunds

Delivery, pickup, order-change, cancellation, refund, and replacement terms are described in our Shipping & Pickup Policy and Refund Policy, which form part of these Terms. Delivery dates and times are estimates and may be affected by weather, traffic, access problems, or events outside our reasonable control.

7. Promotions

Promotional codes and offers may have separate conditions, expiry dates, product restrictions, and minimum purchase requirements. Unless stated otherwise, promotions cannot be combined, exchanged for cash, or applied after an order is placed. We may modify or end a promotion as permitted by law.

8. Intellectual Property

The Tenderbite name, branding, website text, photographs, graphics, recipes, and other content are owned by or licensed to Tenderbite and may not be copied, republished, sold, or used commercially without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

9. Website Availability and Third-Party Services

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free website access. The website may include services or links operated by third parties. Tenderbite is not responsible for third-party websites or services, although this does not limit responsibility imposed on us by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tenderbite is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the website or products. Tenderbite does not exclude liability for its own negligence, defective products, breach of legal duty, or any other liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.

11. Governing Law and Changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. We may update them to reflect changes in law, products, services, or business practices. The effective date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will apply prospectively unless applicable law permits otherwise.

1. Information We Collect

Contact and account information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, and account credentials.

Order and fulfilment information, such as products ordered, order history, delivery or pickup details, delivery instructions, and communications with us.

Billing and transaction information. Complete payment-card or wallet credentials are generally handled by the payment service selected at checkout rather than stored by Tenderbite.

Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser or device information, referring pages, pages viewed, cookies, and similar technologies.

Information you voluntarily provide through forms, reviews, contests, newsletters, or customer-support communications.

2. How We Use Information

Process payments, confirm orders, and provide delivery or pickup.

Communicate about orders, customer service, product issues, recalls, safety notices, and policy changes.

Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and our services.

Prevent fraud, misuse, and security incidents and comply with legal, tax, accounting, food-safety, and regulatory requirements.

Send marketing messages where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law. You may unsubscribe using the link in the message or by contacting us.

3. Consent and Choices

We seek consent where required and collect, use, or disclose personal information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate. You may withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawal may prevent us from providing a requested service, such as completing an order or delivery.

4. Service Providers and Disclosure

We may share necessary personal information with service providers that help us operate, including Wix and its related website or e-commerce services, payment services selected at checkout such as Apple Pay and PayPal, delivery providers, email or customer-support services, analytics providers where enabled, professional advisers, insurers, and technology or security providers. They may process information only as necessary for their services and are subject to their own legal obligations and policies.

Some service providers may process or store information outside British Columbia or Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of another jurisdiction. We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to protect safety or rights, or as part of a business transaction permitted by law. We do not sell personal information for money.

5. Cookies and Analytics

Our website and Wix may use essential cookies needed for security, shopping-cart functions, checkout, and site operation. We may also use preference, analytics, or marketing technologies if enabled. Available cookie controls may be provided through our cookie banner or your browser, but disabling essential cookies may affect website functions.

6. Retention and Security

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above and to satisfy legal, tax, accounting, dispute, fraud-prevention, and food-safety requirements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Access and Correction

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information we hold about you, ask how it has been used or disclosed, and request correction of inaccurate information. We may need to verify your identity and may withhold information where the law permits or requires us to do so.

8. Children

Our website is intended for customers able to make purchases. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and address it.

9. Changes and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. Questions, complaints, access requests, or correction requests may be directed to our privacy contact:

Shipping & Pickup Policy

Effective August 4, 2026

Delivery Areas and Fees

Tenderbite offers local delivery to eligible Zone 1 and Zone 2 addresses shown on our website or at checkout. Enter and confirm your address before placing an order. Available delivery options and charges are calculated or displayed at checkout. Orders of CAD $100 or more qualify for free local delivery where stated at checkout, after discounts and before any applicable taxes, unless a promotion says otherwise.

Delivery Timing

Any delivery date or window is an estimate, not a guarantee. Weather, traffic, access restrictions, order volume, or other events may cause delays. We will use reasonable efforts to contact you about a material delay.

Address, Access and Unattended Delivery

Customers must provide a complete and accurate address, unit number, access code, telephone number, and safe delivery instructions. Additional charges may apply if redelivery is required because the information provided was incorrect or access was unavailable.

If an order is left at the delivery address in accordance with the instructions provided, it is considered delivered. Because the products are frozen food, the customer must retrieve the order promptly, inspect it, and freeze it immediately. Risk of temperature-related deterioration may increase after delivery, particularly if the order is left outdoors, in direct sunlight, or in warm weather.

Pickup

Pickup is available by arrangement Wednesday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at 127 Hammersmith Way, Richmond, BC V7A 5E3. Please wait for pickup confirmation and arrive within the confirmed time. Bring the order confirmation or the purchaser’s name. Products must be transported appropriately and frozen promptly after pickup.

Inspecting Your Order

Check the order promptly for missing or incorrect items, damaged or leaking packaging, or an unexpected temperature or quality concern. Photograph the product, package, shipping label, and condition on arrival and contact tenderbite.ca@gmail.com within 24 hours. Do not consume a product that appears unsafe.

Refund, Replacement & Cancellation Policy

Effective August 4, 2026

Perishable Food Sales

Tenderbite products are perishable food. For food-safety reasons, we generally cannot accept returns or exchanges after products have been delivered or picked up. A change of mind, personal taste preference, failure to retrieve an order promptly, improper storage, or failure to follow preparation instructions does not normally qualify for a refund.

Eligible Problems

Please contact us if your order contains an item you did not order, is missing an item, arrives with materially damaged or compromised packaging, or presents a reasonable quality or safety concern that existed when delivered or picked up. We will review the circumstances and, where appropriate, offer a replacement, store credit, or refund for the affected item.

How to Report a Problem

Email tenderbite.ca@gmail.com within 24 hours of delivery or pickup and include your name, order number, a description of the problem, and clear photographs of the product, packaging, label, and condition when received. Keep the product frozen or refrigerated as appropriate until we respond, unless keeping it would be unsafe. Do not consume a product you believe may be unsafe.

Cancellations and Order Changes

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change an order. We will try to assist, but changes and cancellations are not guaranteed once preparation, packing, or fulfilment has begun. If Tenderbite cancels an unavailable order or item after payment, we will refund the affected amount to the original payment method.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing times depend on the payment provider or financial institution. Shipping or delivery fees are refunded only where appropriate in the circumstances or required by law. Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights or remedies available under applicable law.

Food Safety, Storage & Preparation Guide

Customer guidance | Updated August 4, 2026

Safety first: Follow the instructions on the individual package. If this guide differs from the package label, follow the package label and contact Tenderbite if clarification is needed.

Keep Frozen

Place products in the freezer as soon as possible after delivery or pickup.

For best quality, keep frozen and use within 6 months, subject to the date and instructions on the package.

Do not use a package that is leaking, damaged, unusually swollen, or no longer properly sealed.

Thaw Safely

Thaw in the refrigerator, not at room temperature.

Once thawed, keep refrigerated and consume as soon as possible, within 1–2 days.

Do not refreeze after thawing unless the product label expressly says it is appropriate.

Microwave Preparation

After thawing, slightly open or tear a corner of the pouch so steam can escape.

Microwave for approximately 1 minute, then check that the product is heated to your preference.

Microwave strength and product temperature vary. Heat longer in short intervals if needed and use caution when opening the hot pouch.

Only microwave the pouch if the individual package is marked or confirmed as microwave-safe. Otherwise, remove the chicken and use a microwave-safe dish.

Allergy Reminder

Ingredients and allergens vary by flavour. Always read the individual package before eating. Products are prepared in a shared commercial kitchen and cross-contact may be possible. Customers with severe allergies or medical dietary requirements should contact Tenderbite before ordering.

When Not to Eat the Product

Do not consume the product if the package is compromised, the product was left unrefrigerated or unfrozen for an unsafe period, or the product has an unusual smell, colour, texture, or appearance. When in doubt, do not eat it; photograph the product and contact us promptly.
